IT Training and E-Learning for Canadian Organizations

Your team already knows the work. What holds them back is scattered PDFs, a training day nobody remembers a month later, and no clear record of who has actually completed what. If you run a non-profit or an educational organization, you also need a place to deliver courses to staff, volunteers, or learners that does not cost more every time your headcount grows. A learning platform of your own gives you one system where courses live, learners sign in, and progress is tracked.

We build the learning platform and the training that goes on it. That means setting up Moodle or Canvas, shaping your material into real courses, running the workshops that get people started, and staying on after launch so the system keeps working when you add a new program or a new group of learners.

Because Moodle is open source, there are no per-seat license fees as your learner count grows. You pay for the setup, the course build, and support, not a monthly charge for every person who logs in. For an organization that runs on volunteers or serves a changing group of learners, that difference adds up.

What is included

What you get with IT Training & E-Learning

Moodle or Canvas LMS setup

We install and configure your learning platform, set up user roles for administrators, instructors, and learners, and connect sign-in so people access it with credentials they already use where possible.

Curriculum and course development

We turn your existing material, whether that is documents, slides, or knowledge that only lives in someone's head, into structured courses with lessons, quizzes, and completion tracking.

On-site and remote workshops

We run live sessions to get your staff, volunteers, or instructors comfortable with the platform, in person where that works and over video for teams spread across the country.

Cybersecurity awareness programs

We build and deliver security-awareness training on phishing, passwords, and safe handling of personal and health information, so your people become part of your defence rather than a gap in it.

Software and systems training

We create training for the specific tools your organization uses, such as your CRM, ERP, or day-to-day applications, so new hires and volunteers get up to speed faster.

Course records and reporting

We set up completion tracking, certificates, and reports so you can show who finished which training, which matters for onboarding, grant reporting, and compliance reviews.

Post-training support

After launch we stay available to fix issues, add new courses, update content, and train new administrators, so the platform keeps serving you as your programs change.

Why open source

Why we build this on open source

Moodle is open source, which fits training and e-learning better than most software categories. There are no per-seat license fees, so a non-profit can enroll volunteers, seasonal staff, and learners without a bill that climbs with every account. Moodle also runs on the same infrastructure choices as our other work, so you can keep learner data on Canadian infrastructure if that matters for your funders or the people you serve. Canvas is available too when your organization prefers it or already uses it. Being honest about cost: the license is free, but the real investment is in the setup, the course build, and keeping the content current, which is where we do the work and where you should expect the spend to sit.

Free assessment

We start with a no-obligation conversation about who you need to train, what material you already have, and whether Moodle or Canvas fits your situation. You get a scoped quote, not a list price.

02

Platform setup and course build

We install and configure the LMS, set up roles and sign-in, and turn your material into structured courses with quizzes, completion tracking, and reporting.

03

Launch and workshops

We run on-site or remote workshops to get administrators, instructors, and learners using the system, and we hand over clear documentation so your team can run it day to day.

04

Ongoing support

After launch we stay on to fix issues, add courses, refresh content, and train new administrators, so the platform keeps up as your programs and staff change.

FAQ

Questions about IT Training & E-Learning

What is the difference between Moodle and Canvas, and how do you choose?

Both are learning management systems that host courses, track progress, and handle quizzes and grading. Moodle is open source with no per-seat license fees, which is why it fits non-profits and organizations with changing learner counts. Canvas is a good fit when your organization already uses it or prefers its interface. During the free assessment we look at your learners, your budget, and any existing tools, then recommend the one that fits rather than defaulting to a single answer.

Can our learner data stay in Canada?

Yes. When we host your Moodle or Canvas platform on cloud infrastructure, you have the option to keep the data on Canadian infrastructure. This is a common request from funders and from organizations that handle personal or health information. It is a trust and procurement advantage rather than a blanket legal requirement, and we plan for it from the start when you need it.

We do not have formal course material yet. Can you still help?

Yes. A lot of organizations come to us with training that lives in scattered documents, old slides, or in the head of one experienced person. Part of our curriculum development work is turning that into structured courses with lessons, quizzes, and completion tracking. You do not need finished material before you start.

What happens after the platform is set up?

We provide post-training support so the system keeps working as your programs change. That includes fixing issues, adding new courses, updating content, and training new administrators when your staff turns over. For organizations on a managed support plan, this is part of your predictable monthly fee rather than a new quote each time.
